Purpose of the Student Intern Program

WSSC Water’s Student Intern Program offers high school and college students an opportunity to gain real-world experience in their field of study – experience that could lead to a job with us or other employers - providing you with invaluable practice experience for a bright future.

Requirements

To be eligible to apply to our Student Intern Program, you must meet these requirements:

High School

College Level

Candidates must be at least 16 years old by the start date of the internship
Rising junior/senior or graduating high school student.
Have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or above
Attend a high school located in Prince George’s County or Montgomery County, Maryland
Successfully complete an interview
Pass a pre-employment drug test
Be legally eligible to work in the United States; proof must be provided upon employment

Candidates must be currently enrolled as a full-time in a college or university
Must have completed at least one semester (12 credit hours) of study
Have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or above
Successfully complete an interview
Pass a pre-employment drug test
Be legally eligible to work in the United States; proof must be provided upon employment
